Notice to Bidders

The Board of Education of the West Valley Central School District hereby invites the submission of sealed bids for: Miscellaneous items – Sold “AS IS”

Items may be viewed during the hours of 7-4pm starting Tuesday, August 25, 2026. Call Carolyn Boberg to set up a time to view items, 716-942-3100 ext. 4102. Bids will be received until noon on Thursday September 3, 2026, at the West Valley Central School District Office, 5359 School St., West Valley, NY 14171, at which time all bids will be publicly opened. Bid forms may be obtained in the Main Office, 5359 School St., or on the district’s website: www.wvalley.org. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject all bids.

Sealed Bid Instructions

1. The sealed bid auction is open to all teachers/staff and to the public.
2. Interested parties must call Carolyn Boberg at 716-942-3100 ext. 4102 to see the items.
3. West Valley CSD has set no minimum bid for items in the auction.
4. Bids will be dollar increments. Bids made in cents will be rounded down to the whole dollar amount.
5. Purchasers must use the sealed bid form to qualify for a winning bid and the form must be filled out completely. The form should be dropped off at the main office, 5359 School Street, West Valley, NY 14171 between 7am – 4pm or call Carolyn Boberg for a different drop off time.
6. The auction will close at noon on Thursday September 3, 2026. Bids received after this time will not be opened.
7. The bids will be unsealed following the closing time of the auction on September 3, 2026, in the District Office.
8. Ties: In the event of a tie bid, the bidders will be asked to bid up if they so choose. In the event of a second tie the process will repeat until there is a winning bid.
9. The winning bidder can take possession of the apparatus once payment has been made. The sale is final, “As is”.
10. The winning bidder will have 7 days from notification to submit payment by check, or cash. The payment must be for the full amount of the bid. If payment is not received in 7 days, the bid will be null and void and the next highest bid will be accepted. Once payment is received, the winning bidder must arrange for pick of the apparatus before the end of the month. Payment will be made out to: West Valley Central School.
