A Message from Dan Amodeo, Superintendent

On behalf of West Valley Central School and our Board of Education, I would like to thank all who participated in our 2026-2027 budget revote. Unfortunately, our budget, transportation, and capital improvement propositions did not pass. 

Considering our 2026-2027 budget not passing, the Board of Education has adopted a Contingency Budget for the next school year.  Information regarding contingency requirements and our budget is included below. 

While this is not the outcome that we have worked towards, we will continue to engage our school community.  We look forward to implementing practices that will continue our efforts to create opportunities for collaborative and constructive dialogue with our stakeholders.  We are committed to working together to ensure the best opportunities for our students.

Proposition 1: 2026-27 Revised Budget

• Yes: 161; No: 243

Proposition 2: Purchase of 2 Mini-Vans from current Transportation Reserve

• 402 total votes
• Yes: 189; No: 213

Proposition 3: Establish Capital Reserve (10 year) up to $1.5 million

• 399 total votes
• Yes: 159; No: 240
