Community Day 2026

Community Day 2026

On Friday, May 15, West Valley students and staff headed out into the community for Community Day — a tradition brought back by the National Honor Society, Student Council, and Community Day Committee.

Students in grades 7–12 spread out across the area to help community members with yard work, garden cleanup, and landscaping, while younger students planted raised beds at the school. Seniors spent the day at the Volunteer Fire Hall, and other groups tackled everything from St. John's Cemetery to the Ashford Historical Society to neighbors along Route 240. The day wrapped up with an afternoon of on-campus projects and a picnic-style lunch with kickball.

It's a great reminder of what makes West Valley special — students showing up and giving back.
